Bangladesh Medical University on Wednesday held a training workshop titled Phlebotomists on Sample Collection: Bridging the Gap between Diagnosis and Treatment as part of a series of programmes marking World Antimicrobial Awareness Week 2025 began on Tuesday.
The workshop, organised by the Faculty of Medical Technology and the Department of Microbiology and Immunology of BMU, was hosted by vice-chancellor Professor Md Shahinul Alam as chief guest.
Pro-vice-chancellor (administration) Professor Md Abul Kalam Azad, pro-vice-chancellor (research and development) Professor Md Mujibur Rahman Howlader, and treasurer Professor Nahrin Akhtar were special guests.
BMU鈥檚 Faculty of Medical Technology dean Professor M Abu Hena Chowdhury, Department of Microbiology and Immunology chairman Professor Abu Naser Ibne Sattar, director (planning and development) Erfanul Haque Siddiqui, associate professor of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology Shaheda Anwar, associate professor Sanjida Setu, Public Health Specialist of the Department of Public Health and Informatics Farzana Islam Rupa, in addition to the trainees, were present.
