Modhumoti Bank PLC has signed an agreement with MAY International Trade Services Ltd on Monday, August 18, 2025, to utilise the Maritime Data and Analytics Platform, the first-ever solution developed locally by a Bangladeshi company, says a press release.
The signing ceremony was attended by distinguished officials from both organisations.
Md Shafiul Azam, the bank鈥檚 managing director and CEO; graced the event, accompanied by Shahnawaj Chowdhury, additional managing director, Arab Fazlur Rahman; deputy managing director and CBO; and Fahmida Saeed Saki, SEVP and head of international division as well the concerned team officials.
On behalf of MAY International Trade Services Ltd, Syed Aminul Kabir, managing director and CEO, was present along with Layla Kowkine Ara, DMD, and other senior officials.
With access to real-time vessel movements, shipping routes, and port activities, the bank can enhance its due diligence processes, minimise trade-related risks and reduce exposure to fraudulent activities.
