
Bangladesh have been placed in Pool B alongside defending champions South Korea, Malaysia, and Chinese Taipei in the AHF Men鈥檚 Hockey Asia Cup, scheduled to be held in Rajgir, Bihar, in India.
The Asian Hockey Federation announced the tournament schedule on Tuesday, which will be played from August 29 to September 7.
Bangladesh earned their qualification in the place of three-time champions Pakistan, who withdrew from the tournament due to security concerns.
Apart from Pakistan, 2025 AHF Cup champions Oman also withdrew from the competition, paving the way for Kazakhstan in the 12th edition of the tournament.
Kazakhstan are placed in Pool A with three-time champions India, Japan, and China.
Bangladesh will face Malaysia in the opener on August 29 before facing Chinese Taipei and record five-time champions South Korea on August 30 and September 1, respectively.
The top two teams from each pool will advance to the Super-four stage, with the final scheduled for September 7 between the first- and second-placed teams of the Super- four stage.
The champion of the tournament will secure a place at the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup in Belgium and the Netherlands.
