
The Private University Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal on Thursday announced committees in 19 private universities.
Along with these, the student wing of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party, till now announced its committee in 32 private universities in the country.
The organisation on Thursday issued a press release signed by its president and general secretary M Rajibul Islam Talukder.
Abu Horayra, JCD vice-president, said that earlier in March this year they had announced committees in 13 private universities.
Replying to a question he said that before the national elections in 2024 they had announced committees in 34 private universities.
According to the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, currently there are a total of 116 private universities in the country.
Committees of the Private University JCD announced on Thursday in 19 universities included BRAC University, Atish Dipankar University of Science and Technology, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, University of Asia Pacific, Southeast University, Northern University Bangladesh, BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology, World University of Bangladesh, Primeasia University, Presidency University, International University of Business Agriculture and Technology, Bangladesh University of Business and Technology, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh, Bangladesh University, The People’s University of Bangladesh, Manarat International University, Asian University of Bangladesh, City University and Gono Bishwabidyalay.
In the first phase, committees were announced in 13 universities– North South University, United International University, American International University – Bangladesh, Independent University, Bangladesh, Dhaka International University, Green University of Bangladesh, State University of Bangladesh, University of Scholars, University of Information Technology and Sciences, Sonargaon University, Uttara University, Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology and Canadian University of Bangladesh.
