Vice-chancellor of Bangladesh Open University Professor ABM Obaidul Islam has attended a five-day international programme on ‘the journey of digital transformation of education in Bangladesh’ in Japan.
The event, jointly organised by the CEMCA-COL and Hiroshima Public University, began on Tuesday, said a BOU press release on Thursday.
Professor Obaidul Islam will deliver a speech as special guest lecturer on the progress of higher education and digital education in Bangladesh.
During the VC’s visit to Japan, the university’s pro-VC for academic affairs, Professor Dil Rawshan Jinnat Ara Nazneen, is conducting the regular activities of the vice-chancellor.
Sohel Ahmed, joint director of the university’s media department, has participated as the vice-chancellor’s accompanying person.
