Walton has launched two new models of its e-bike series ‘Takyon,’ said a press release.
These new e-bikes are being seen as smart and environmental friendly companions for urban and rural commuting due to their modern design, powerful motor, long-performing battery backup and affordability as the cost of the Walton e-bikes are of only 10-15 paisa per kilometre, it said.
The newly launched ‘Fusion 25FZ’ model will provide millage of up to 100 to 110 kilometres on a single charge. The maximum speed of this model is 60 kilometres per hour.
The bike features 72V38Ah graphene lead-acid battery and a 1.2 kilowatt DC brushless motor. It has acceleration ability from zero to 100 metres in just 10 seconds. With a dual disc brake system, advanced tires and a weight of 140 kilogram, this model will provide reliable performance on both city and highway roads.
It is priced at Tk 1,87,500.
On the other hand, the ‘LEO 25T1’ model is capable of providing maximum speed of 35 kilometres per hour. The bike can run for 70 to 80 kilometres on a single charge.
It has a 60V23AH graphene lead-acid battery, charging time of which is only 6 to 8 hours. The powerful 800-watt brushless DC motor, disc-drum brake system and advanced suspension will give the rider safe and comfortable experience. This model weighing only 89 kilogram is capable of carrying a maximum load of 100 kilogram.
The model is priced at only Tk 86,850.
Walton Computer chief business officer Touhidur Rahman Rad said, ‘E-bike has gained immense popularity all over the world as an eco-friendly and affordable vehicle. We have brought e-bikes under Takyon series that can be a unique solution to make urban and rural commuting easier, more comfortable and more affordable.
‘Walton’s e-bikes have already gained immense popularity among users for which we have brought two new models. More models of Walton e-bike will be launched in the market this year,’ he said.
He added that customers could also purchase the bikes on easy instalment facilities.
The new Takyon e-bikes are available at Walton Plaza, authorised dealer shops and Walton’s official website. It comes with Walton’s warranty and fast after-sales service.
