The Career Development Club of BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology held the grand finale of the Intra BUFT Public Speaking Competition 2025: Who Owns the Mic at the Multipurpose Hall of BUFT in Dhaka on Monday.
The event was graced by Faruque Hassan, chairman of the BUFT board of trustees, and Professor Ayub Nabi Khan, acting vice-chancellor of BUFT, as guests of honour, said a press release.
A distinguished panel of judges and special guests attended the finale, including Mohammad Imtiaj, senior news presenter at Channel 24 and trainer; Sadman Sadik, digital creator and writer; and Asaduzzaman Joy, content creator.
In this year鈥檚 event, Jannatul Firdaush Mim, a student of the department of fashion studies, earned the distinction of becoming the champion.
The titles of first runner-up and second runner-up were awarded to Tamima Binta Islam from the department of business administration and Md Ahsan Habib Babu from the department of textile engineering and management, respectively.
The first two rounds of the competition were held online, attracting participation from over a hundred students across various departments.
