Mohammad Samir Uddin has joined as chief executive officer of Midland Bank Asset Management Company Limited, said a press release.
MDBAMC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Midland Bank PLC.
He has over 14 years of professional experience working in capital market and banking sector.
Previously, he worked at MBL Asset Management Limited, as CEO. Prior to that, he was CEO at Shahjalal Asset Management Limited.
He also served as a fund manager at VIPB Asset Management Company Limited.
He began his banking career as a management trainee officer at Export Import Bank of Bangladesh Limited, where he was later promoted to principal officer.
He is a CFA charter holder and an active member of CFA Society Bangladesh.
He completed his BBA and MBA from Faculty of Business Studies, majoring in finance, from the University of Dhaka.
