The 25th annual general meeting of Takaful Islami Insurance PLC was held on Saturday virtually by using digital platform.

The AGM unanimously approved 10 per cent Cash Dividend for the year 2024.


Later in the evening, Tahmina Afroz was unanimously reelected chairman and Khondakder Mesbahuddin Ahmed vice-chairman for the year 2025-2026 in the 145th meeting of the board of directors of Takaful Islami Insurance.

Takaful chairman Tahmina Afroz presided over the meeting while vice -chairman Emdadul Haque chowdhury, Investment Committee chairman Khondaker Mesbahuddin Ahmed, Risk Management Committee chairman Md Humayun Kabir Patwary, Policyholder Protection & Compliance Committee chairman Md Khorshed Alam Khan and other directors were present.

Besides, chief executive officer Abul Kalam Azad, additional managing director Mohammad Selim and CFO Mohammad Mamunul Islam and 171 Shareholders participated in the meeting.

The AGM also approved Directors Report, Audited Financial Statement, Auditors Report for the year ended 31st, December, 2024 appointment of ARTISAN, Chartered Accountant as Statutory Auditor and appointment of Huda Hossain & Co, Chartered Accountant聽 as Corporate Governance and Insurance Corporate Governance Guidelines Compliance Auditor for the year 2025.

Tahmina Afroz , Md Abul Hashem, ABM Kaikobad (representative of Haji Shakhawat Anwara Eye Hospitals Ltd) and Md Masudur Rahman (representative of Towhidur Rahman Ltd) have been re-elected as sponsors Shareholder Directors and Zia Uddin Podhar , Saiful Islam (representative of Modern Diagnostic Centre Ltd) were re-elected Public Shareholder Directors in the meeting.

The chief executive officer Abul Kalam Azad thanked shareholders for their lively participation and wide range of suggestions and advices and assured the shareholders that their suggestions and advices shall receive due consideration of the management for compliance and betterment of the company.company secretary Mohammad Shaheen Miah conducted the AGM.
