Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation celebrated the 64th anniversary at the Krishi Bhaban of BADC in Dhaka on Thursday.

To mark the day, the BADC organised a discussion at the Semanr Hall of Krishi Bhaban, said a press release.

Presiding over the discussion, BADC chairman Md Ruhul Amin Khan said that BADC was playing a unique role in ensuring sustainable agricultural security by developing efficient agricultural management.

‘Agriculture is the backbone of the country’s economy. Without agriculture, the country’s economic system can never be self-sufficient,’ he said, mentioning, ‘BADC is working tirelessly under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture to develop this agricultural management sustainably.’

BADC has a bright chapter in delivering quality seeds of various crops, balanced non-urea fertilisers and irrigation facilities to the doorsteps of farmers, he said.

Mentioning that the scope and nature of the organisation’s activities have increased compared to the past, he urged all the officers and employees to play their role in performing their duties with honesty, sincerity and greater responsibility to make BADC a genuine friend of agriculture and farmers.
