Mercantile Bank PLC on Sunday held its 26th annual general meeting in a hybrid manner at its head office, said a press release.
Chairman Md Anwarul Haq presided over the meeting. Managing director Mati Ul Hasan delivered welcome speech.
Balance sheet as on December 31, 2024 was approved by the shareholders during the AGM.
Vice-chairman Akram Hossain (Humayun), executive committee chairman MA Khan Belal, risk management committee chairman Mohammad Abdul Awal, audit committee chairman and independent director Md Rezaul Kabir, directors ASM Feroz Alam, M Amanullah, Mosharref Hossain and independent director Mohammad Thoufiqul Islam were present.
CFO Tapash Chandra Paul, company secretary Mohammad Rezaul Karim and a number of shareholders and sponsors were also connected virtually.
The Chairman in his speech stated that Mercantile Bank succeeded in 2024 by means of co-operation and support of its shareholders, clients, the Bangladesh Bank and other regulatory bodies.
The bank has reported consolidated EPS of Tk 0.58, NAV per share聽 of Tk 23.75 and Net Operating Cash Flow per share of Tk 17.80 for the year ended on 31 December, 2024, the release said.
Among others, deputy managing directors Md Zakir Hossain, Shamim Ahmed, Ashim Kumar Saha, Md Zahid Hossain, SEVPs Shah Md Sohel Khurshid, Mohammad Iqbal Rezwan and Md Abdul Halim were present on the occasion.
