Bangladesh suffered a clean sweep at the hands of Pakistan, as they lost the third and final game of the three-match play-off series by 10-3 margin at the Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium, Dhaka on Sunday.聽
Bangladesh conceded defeats by 8-2 and 8-0 goals in the previous two games of the series and squandered their chance for a spot in the FIH World Cup Qualifiers, next year.
While the four-time world champions Pakistan confirmed their Qualifiers spot.
In the match, Pakistan鈥檚 Sufyan Khan (eighth, 10th, 16th, 29th, 34th, 57th) scored six from penalty corners while Rehman Abdul (15th, 59th) and Ahmad Nadeem (40th) added three from penalty corners and Waleed Rana (52nd) scored one field goal.
Md Abdullah (19th) and Rakibul Hasan(44th) scored one field goal each, while Ashraful Islam(57th) scored once from a penalty corner to pull three goals back for Bangladesh.聽
