Unidentified people exploded a crud bomb at Chobir Hat in Dhaka University area on Monday morning.
The crud bomb was exploded minutes after 9:30am in the area under Shahbagh police station.
Shahbagh police station duty officer Rajib Chowdhury said that a team from the station went to the spot to investigate the incident.
No casualties were reported in the incident, he added.
Arson and crude bomb attacks continued at places in the capital and elsewhere continued on Monday amid tight security over the verdict against Bangladesh’s ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina.
A series of crude bomb explosions and arson attacks on buses had been taking place in Dhaka and several other areas since the night of November 7 after AL announced ‘Dhaka lockdown’ on social media for November 13.
On that day, the International Crimes Tribunal scheduled Monday for delivering the verdict in the case filed over crimes against humanity linked to the July Uprising murder charges against Hasina and her aides.
Ahead of the verdict, the AL has again announced programmes online while the arson and crude bomb attacks on vehicles, establishments and offices continued on Monday.
