Quazi Md Khaled

Former chief engineer of Bangladesh Power Development Board Quazi Md Khaled died at a hospital in in Dhaka on Monday.

He was 89. He is survived by his widow Syeda Farida Begum and son QM Shahed, said a press release.


Bangladesh Power Development Board chairman Engineer Md Rezaul Karim has expressed deep shock at the death of QM Khaled and expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.

Engineer Kazi Md. Khaled joined the Dhaka Power Supply under the former Electricity Directorate in 1958 as an assistant engineer. Later, he held several important positions in the Power Development Board.

His namaz-e-janaza was held after zuhr prayers at Gulshan Azad Mosque.
