Md Rafius Sajjad

Md Rafius Sajjad joined Bangladesh Water Development Board as additional director general on Tuesday.

Previously, he served as chief engineer (civil), central zone of the BWDB, said a press release.


Sajjad earned a BSC in civil engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology in 1991. He also obtained a postgraduate diploma on water resources development from Italy. He joined BWDB in 1993 as an assistant engineer (civil) post.

Throughout his tenure, he performed as sub-divisional engineer, executive engineer, superintendent engineer, additional chief engineer and chief engineer under different sections of BWDB.

Sajjad participated in different seminars and training in his 32-year long career in Japan, China, Philippines, Indonesia, Turkey, Thailand, Italy, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway and Netherlands.

Sajjad was born in Cumilla in 1968.
