A person died at a hospital on Tuesday morning after he was attacked with a sharp weapon on Tajmahal Road at Mohammadpur in the capital on Monday.
Two individuals were arrested in connection with the murder, said the police.
The deceased is identified as Md Mintu, 25.
Confirming the matter, Mohammadpur police station investigation inspector Hafizur Rahman said that the incident occurred at about 11:00am on Monday, leaving Mintu seriously injured.
He later died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital early Tuesday, Hafizur said.
鈥楢 case was filed on Monday night while two persons named Md Jalal and Nilufa Akhter were arrested,鈥� he said.
An investigation was going on regarding the incident, added the police official.
