The Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations will provide 4 million US dollars to Bangladesh for preserving fruits.

Chief adviser鈥檚 press secretary Shafiqul Alam revealed this information at a media briefing held at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka on Thursday.


Alam said the FAO would also help Bangladesh to launch crop insurance for farmers as they often face crop loss due to natural disasters.

Chief adviser鈥檚 deputy press secretaries Apurba Jahangir and Abul Kalam Azad Majumder and senior assistant press secretary Foyez Ahammad were also present at the press briefing.
