United Commercial Bank PLC on Tuesday launched a new range of products, including deposit account and loan package.
The newly-launched products include Swadhin (zero unemployment), Somota (zero poverty) and Sabuj Sonchoy (zero carbon). In addition, three new loan packages have also been launched, namely UCB Progoti (zero poverty), UCB Shobuj Shomriddhi (zero carbon) and UCB Shuchona (zero unemployment).
The bank introduced the products through a press conference held at the bank鈥檚 head office located at Gulshan in the capital Dhaka.
UCB said in the press conference that the products were launched in alignment with Three Zeroes Vision, an idea proposed by the chief adviser of the interim government Muhammad Yunus.
Sharif Zahir, chairman of UCB, said at the press conference, 鈥楤eing inspired from the chief adviser鈥檚 vision of three zeroes, we are rolling out new products designed to enable the people with easy and beneficial banking services.鈥�
鈥楾hese products will not only add value to the customers鈥� banking experience but also help achieve a world of three zeroes,鈥� he added.
Abdul Hai Khan, executive vice-chairman of聽Grameen聽Trust, and Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid, managing director and chief executive officer of UCB, were present at the press conference along with other high officials of the bank.
