Warner Bros. Discovery announced that its flagship platform, HBO Max, would launch directly in Bangladesh on October 15, 2025.
The service will bring a vast library of international content, including HBO Originals, Warner Bros. blockbusters, and popular reality shows, to Bangladeshi subscribers, according to a press release issued on Tuesday.
The launch is part of a major Asia Pacific expansion that will see HBO Max become available in 14 new markets, including Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, and Cambodia.
Bangladeshi audiences will gain instant access to a premium collection of entertainment. This includes the epic fantasy series House of the Dragon, the critically acclaimed The Last of Us, the entire Harry Potter film series, and the DC universe, including the next Superman movie. The platform will also feature family favourites from Cartoon Network like Adventure Time and We Bare Bears.
Highlighting the launch, a major new series will premiere shortly after. IT: Welcome to Derry, a prequel to the popular horror films based on Stephen King’s novel, is set to debut on October 27. The show will explore the origins of the terrifying Pennywise the Clown.
‘The global expansion of HBO Max continues to bring unparalleled entertainment to more fans across the world,’ said JB Perrette, CEO and President of Global Streaming & Games at Warner Bros. Discovery.
He confirmed that by the end of the year, the service would be available in over 100 countries.
