National Citizen Party member secretary Akhter Hossen on Saturday said that if the legal basis, draft order, and contents of the July National Charter鈥檚 implementation roadmap are not presented before the nation, the Charter would remain nothing more than a formality.
He made the remark while talking to journalists after a meeting with the National Consensus Commission at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban that day.
Akhter said, 鈥榃e have clearly told the commission that the order for implementing the July Charter must be made public. Otherwise, we will not consider it for signing.鈥�
NCP refrained from signing the Charter on October 17 when 24 parties, the consensus commission and chief adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus signed the document.
