
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Islami Andolan Bangladesh and Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish on Sunday submitted separate memorandums to chief adviser Muhammad Yunus for the implementation of July charter through referendum before next general election scheduled to be held in February.
The parties handed over the memorandums to Yunus through the deputy commissioners of the country to press their five point demands, including the introduction of proportional representation system.
Holding rallies, the district leaders of the parties warned that the July uprising might be fail if the July charter was not implemented before the polls.
Their other demands include ensuring level playing fields for every political party before the election, holding visible trials of the fascists and imposing ban on the politics of Awami League-led alliance and partners.
