Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami demanded the cancellation of the appointment of music and dance teachers in primary schools and wanted religious studies teachers’ appointment instead.
Secretary general of the party Mia Golam Parwar on Sunday in a press statement said that in primary schools across the country there were no teachers for teaching religion and moral education, but the interim government was going to appoint music and dance teachers for these institutions.
He called on the government to refrain from appointing music and dance teachers and take steps to appoint religion education teachers in the primary education institutions.
