Chittagong-based theatre troupe Sketch Gallery Nandan will stage their second production titled Sajghor, an adaptation from Humayun Ahmed’s novel Sajghor at Experimental Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on Saturday.

The play is adapted and directed by Sahriar Hannan from the novel Sajghor which portrays the struggle of a theatre activist balancing the on stage and off stage life.

Sahriar Hannan said that the play portrays the conflict of a theatre activist’s personal and artistic life, which is particularly relevant as the group theatre concept is a voluntary art practice in the country.

Sanjib Barua, Bijan Majumader, Suchorita Das Khokon, Rahima Kahtun Luna, Sahhin Chowdhury and Sahriar Hannan, among others, portray different characters of the play.
