Pashchimanchal Gas Company Limited held its 26th annual general meeting on Sunday, said a press release.

The company, a subsidiary of Petrobangla, held the meeting at Petrocentre in Dhaka’s Karwan Bazar.


Petrobangla chairman and PGCL shareholder Md Rezanur Rahman, along with other shareholders and members of the board of directors, were present.

The meeting was presided over by PGCL chairman Md Abdul Mannan, also additional secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division.

In the meeting, the audited financial statements and audited accounts for the 2024-2025 fiscal year were approved.

During the fiscal year under review, PGCL sold a total of 1,414.529 MMCF of gas in various sectors and earned a pre-tax profit of Tk 246.00 crore, which is 32.28 per cent higher than the previous fiscal year, as per the release.

The company deposited Tk 172.55 crore into the state treasury, an increase of approximately 28.44 per cent compared to the previous year.
