Dutch-Bangla Bank and its partner Pragati Life Insurance on Tuesday handed over their first insurance claim upon demise of a customer, said a press release.
A cheque covering claim amount was handed over to the nominee of the deceased policyholder at ceremony at the bank鈥檚 head office.
Dutch-Bangla Bank managing director and chief executive officer Abul Kashem Md Shirin and Pragati Life MD and CEO MJ Azim attended the event, along with other senior officials from both the organisations.
According to the release, DBBL has sold a total of 8,306 policies as of October 20, 2025 and its market share in bancassurance business currently stands at 41 per cent.
