Bank Asia PLC has recently disbursed open loans among marginal customers in Chapainawabganj, said a press release.
Bank Asia was the lead bank in the event on July 3 and other scheduled banks operating in the district participated collectively.
Bangladesh Bank deputy governor Md. Habibur Rahman was present as chief guest.聽
BB executive director Rup Ratan Pine and Financial Inclusion Department director Md Iqbal Mohasin were present as special guests.
Bank Asia managing director (current charge) ANM Mahfuz presided over the event.
At the event, a total of Tk 2.75 crore loans were distributed among 221 customers, of which Bank Asia distributed Tk 6.9 million loans among 116 customers.
Under the Bangladesh Bank鈥檚 refinancing scheme, open loans have been distributed among the customers. On the occasion, an open loan disbursement programme was organised under Tk 750 crore revolving refinancing scheme for marginal/landless farmers, low-income professionals, school banking account holders and small businessmen with accounts of Tk 10/50/100.
