
The architecture department at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the school of architecture of Tsinghua University, China to foster academic collaboration recently.
The agreement establishes a framework for academic collaboration at the postgraduate level, with a particular focus on architecture, heritage, urban design, and landscape studies in both national and global contexts, said a press release.
Speaking on the occasion, BUET representatives emphasised that the partnership would open new avenues for Bangladeshi students and faculty to engage with one of the world鈥檚 premier institutions.
The Tsinghua University also expressed its enthusiasm for the collaboration, noting that the partnership reflects a mutual commitment to advancing knowledge, innovation, and sustainable design practices.
The agreement is expected to contribute significantly to the development of architectural education and research in Bangladesh, fostering stronger ties between the academic communities of Bangladesh and China.
