Industries secretary Md Obaidur Rahman and Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation chairman Md Fazlur Rahman inspected the newly constructed chemical godown at Shyampur in Dhaka on Saturday.
During the visit, the officials reviewed the environment and overall activities of the godown and expressed satisfaction over its condition, said a press release.
The industries secretary stressed the need to complete the process of renting out the remaining warehouse offices of the new facility on a temporary basis at the earliest.
He also instructed BCIC authorities to ensure cleanliness both inside and outside the warehouse and to fill vacant posts quickly in order to keep operations smooth and dynamic.
Additional secretary Md Nuruzzaman, additional secretary鈥搒tate corporations MA Kamal Billah, additional secretary Rashidul Hasan, joint secretary Md Sajedur Rahman, deputy secretary Nurun Nahar and senior BCIC officials were also present.
