The 13th edition of the Biman Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair 2025, the largest event in the country’s tourism industry, will kick off on Thursday with the participation of 12 countries at the Bangladesh-China Friendship International Conference Centre in the capital.  

Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh, the leading trade body in the nation’s tourism sector, will organise this three-day international event, with Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited serving as the title sponsor. 


TOAB announced this at a press meet held at Hotel InterContinental in the capital on Tuesday.  

According to the organisers, this year’s fair will receive support from several key government and private organisations in addition to national tourism organisations and tourism associations from Pakistan, Nepal, and Bhutan.

Tour operators and travel agents from various countries, including Nepal, the Maldives, Singapore, Vietnam, the United Arab Emirates, China, Sri Lanka, and Turkey will also participate in this year’s fair.

Md Rafeuzzaman, president of TOAB, presided over the press conference. 

Professor A S M Amanullah, Vice Chancellor of the National University, attended the event as the chief guest.

He said, ‘We have huge potential in our tourism sector. Only 10-15 per cent of it has been utilised so far, and there is still opportunity to develop. We need to collaborate to create better policies for the sector.’

Md Taslim Amin Shovon, TOAB director, trade and fair, outlined the preparations for the upcoming fair. 

He said that this year’s event aims to be more attractive and impressive than previous ones, featuring 220 stalls in 20 pavilions across four halls.

‘The sideline event of the fair will feature several events every day, including B2B sessions, cultural events, exciting raffle draw prizes for visitors, seminars, documentary screening and the country’s tourism product presentations,’ he added.  

He further said that various organisations, including international and domestic airlines, tourism boards, travel agencies, tour operators, hotels, resorts, cruise liners, and hospitals, will participate as exhibitors in the fair.

He urged the journalist to inform the world that Bangladesh is ready for all types of tourism, and they will host foreign guests for a three-day tour in the Sundarbans following the fair.

Ashwani Nayar, area general manager IHG South West Asia and Gold Partner of BTTF 2025, Shahid Hamid, executive director of Regency Hotel and Resort Limited, as the Hospitality Partner, representatives from bKash, as the Payment Partner, Abul Kalam Azad, first vice-president of TOAB, Md Anwar Hossain, vice-president, among others, attended the event.  

The fair will remain open for visitors from 10:00am to 8:00pm daily.
