Bangladesh ‘A’ team will begin their Asian Cricket Council Rising Stars T20, formerly known as the Emerging Asia Cup, on November 15 against Hong Kong, as the fixtures of the tournament have been announced on Friday.Ìý

The West End International Stadium in Doha, Qatar, will host all the matches, as the tournament is scheduled to be held between November 14 and November 23.Ìý


Bangladesh are slotted with defending champions Afghanistan, Hong Kong, and Sri Lanka in Group A, while Group B is comprised of India, Pakistan, Oman, and the UAE.Ìý

Bangladesh ‘A’ will take on their Afghan counterparts on November 17, while the fixture against Sri Lanka is scheduled on November 19.Ìý

The ICC full member teams, including Bangladesh, will send their respective ‘A’ teams, while the associate teams Hong Kong, Oman, and the UAE will field their national teams.Ìý

The semi-finals will be played on November 21, before the final on November 23.Ìý

The tournament, which began in 2013, has had six editions so far. Having started as an Under-23 tournament, it was switched to feature the ‘A’ teams.Ìý

Bangladesh have never won the tournament. They were knocked out from the group stage last time.Ìý
