The second edition of the tournament was hit by monsoon rain and inclement weather from the beginning, which forced all matches in Bogura and Rajshahi to be moved to Sylhet.Â
However, the rain has posed a threat in Sylhet, as well. The first match between Rajshahi and Sylhet saw Rajshahi scoring 200-4, after the game was reduced to 15 overs.
Habibur Rahman continued his fine form, smashing five boundaries and five sixes in his 35-ball 67 while Sabbir Hossain, who was aggressive from the onset, struck 77 off 35 deliveries with four boundaries and seven sixes to form a 141-run partnership in just 10.4 overs.
Sabbir Rahman and Pritom Kumar also chipped in with 20 and 22 runs, respectively, as Rajshahi scored at a rate of 13.33 per over, the highest for any team in domestic cricket, when the match was played below 15 overs.
But the rain did not permit the host to chase, leaving the teams to share points.
The match between Metro and Dhaka was abandoned without a ball being bowled at the same venue.Â
Dhaka stayed on top of the table with eight points from five matches, while Metro remained in fifth place.
