Science and Technology ministry secretary Md Anwar Hossain inaugurated the ‘Nuclear Science and Technology Fair-2025’ at the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Centre in Dhaka on Tuesday.
Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission chairman Md Mojibur Rahman, Bangladesh Council for Scientific and Industrial Research chairman Samina Ahmed, BAEC member (physical science) Debashish Pal and directors of the commission and scientists and officials of different levels were present.
The two-day fair has been organised during the ‘Youth Festival-2025’ on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Atomic Energy Centre at Shahbagh in Dhaka to inspire the young generation about the peaceful application of nuclear technology for the overall development of the country.
The fair showcased research, development activities and service initiatives conducted by various institutes and departments of the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission at 11 stalls, such as food, agriculture, environment, industry, health, medicine and nuclear power generation and technological innovations.
The general people and science enthusiasts can learn about various aspects of nuclear science. Its aim is to inspire the younger generation about the progress, use and benefits of nuclear science and technology.
In the inaugural session, about three hundred students from different educational institutions of Dhaka city visited the different stalls of the fair. The fair will be open to the public from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
