BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology and News Broadcasters’ Alliance Society of Bangladesh signed a memorandum of understanding on BUFT campus at Turag in Dhaka on Tuesday.
Under the agreement, the university will provide NBA members and their immediate family members with a 10 per cent additional tuition fee scholarship across all programmes and a 50 per cent admission fee waiver, supporting higher education and skill enhancement for media professionals, said a press release.
The agreement also includes cooperation in public relations and media engagement, and will remain valid for two years, with the option for renewal. The signing was witnessed by Faruque Hassan, BUFT chairman, Professor Ayub Nabi Khan, BUFT acting vice-chancellor, Mohammad Imtiaj, director of public relations department, Zabed Karder, NBA chief, Raisul Hoque Chowdhury, NBA general secretary, and Atiqur Rahman Atik, health and social welfare secretary.
