At least 25 members of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party, stationed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, were injured when a fire broke out in the airport鈥檚 cargo section on Saturday.
Bangladesh Ansar鈥檚 public relations officer, Md Ashikuzzaman, confirmed that 25 Ansar personnel had sustained injuries by 6:00pm.
The injured were immediately transported to the Combined Military Hospital and Kurmitola General Hospital for treatment.
Md Golam Maulah Tuhin, the North zone commander of Ansar, who was on the ground at the time, explained that Ansar members had noticed the fire in its early stages and promptly informed the authorities.
