A Dhaka court on Saturday passed an order to send Tajbir Hasan to jail in connection with a case of Anti-Corruption Commission with Airport police station.
At the same time, Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Rakibul Hasan also fixed the date for a remand hearing on October 14 next.
Tajbir was a business partner (10 per cent shareholder) of controversial former managing director of NRB Global Bank and Reliance Finance Limited Prashanto Kumar Halder widely known as PK Halder.
Earlier, the police arrested Tajbir under Section 54 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
He was stopped at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport immigration while traveling to Turkey by a flight, said the Investigation Officer of the case.
