Bangladesh Railway is going to run four special trains during the celebration of the Durga Puja, the largest religious festival of the Hindu community.

Between September 30 and October 4, the special trains will run on the Dhaka-Chattogram, Chattogram-Dhaka and Dhaka-Cox鈥檚 Bazar-Dhaka routes.


A decision was also taken to withdraw the weekly off days of two trains for facilitating the passengers during the puja.

At a meeting held at Rail Bhaban in the capital on Thursday, chaired by the railways ministry secretary, Md Fahimul Islam, the decisions were taken, said a press release issued by the ministry.

Durga Puja will be celebrated from September 28 to October 2.
