The police recovered the severed body of a woman, who was allegedly run over by a train in the Jamtoli area of Naldanga under Sadullapur in Gaibandha on Saturday afternoon.
The police said that the body of the woman, aged around 40, was found severed. She may have been run over by a train.
Upon being informed, members of Balashighat police outpost went to the spot, recovered the body parts and sent them to Gaibandha General Hospital for an autopsy.
The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately, said Abdul Goni, in-charge of Balashighat police outpost.
