A physician was sent to jail after arrest on charges of raping a woman by promising her marriage at Dharmapasha upazila in Sunamganj on Sunday.
The arrestee Kibria Khan, 32, of Chariyakona village at Katiadi upazila in Kishoreganj district, had been offering treatment at his private chamber at the Dharmapasha upazila headquarters for about a year, police said.
Kibria, an MBBS doctor, developed an affair with a widow, 28, also mother of two children, of Dharmapasha upazila after she visited the doctor about six months back and since then he had raped her several times promising marriage to her, police said.
Dharmapasha police station officer-in-charge Mohammad Enamul Haque told 抖阴精品 that the woman filed a case with the police station on Saturday night in this regard as the doctor continued to avoid the issue of marrying her.
鈥楰ibria was arrested on Sunday from his rented house at Dharmapasha and sent him to jail on the same day in the case following a court order,鈥� the police official said.
