The Second Graduation Ceremony for diploma engineers of Daffodil Polytechnic Institute, commemorating the diploma graduates’ graduation ceremony for second time in Bangladesh, was held at Daffodil Plaza at Sobhanbagh in Dhaka’s Dhanmondi on Friday.
Mir Zahid Hasan, project director-additional secretary, Accelerating and Strengthening Skills for Economic Transformation, was present as chief guest while Md Ruhul Amin, chairman, Bangladesh Technical Education Board and Md Al Masud Karim, secretary, Rakibul Hasan, deputy project director, ASSET, were special guests, said a press release.
Mohammad Nuruzzaman, chief executive officer, Daffodil Family, was present as guest of honour. The event was addressed by KM Hasan Ripon, executive director, skills and employment ecosystem, Daffodil Group and Rathindra Nath Das, executive director, BTEB institutions, Daffodil Group, SM Jahirul Islam Farhad, acting principal, Daffodil Polytechnic Institute.
At the event, 400 students has been conferred upon diploma degrees. Among them, 15 best result oriented diploma holders were awarded ‘Merit Gold Medal’, 3 were awarded Chairman’s Award in different categories and 2 students were awarded Successful Alumni Award.
