A garment worker electrocuted while discharging duties at a garment factory in Dhaka鈥檚 Jatrabari area on Monday.
The deceased is Alamgir Khalasi, 40, son of Hashem Khalasi of Jalkuri at Robbaninagar in Fatullah of Narayanganj.
The incident took place at about 11:00am inside Sojib Garments at Rayerbagh under Jatrabari police station.
Alamgir fell unconscious after being electrocuted while operating a machine, said his co-worker Ruhan.
He was rushed to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital at about 12:30pm, where doctors declared him dead.
Confirming the incident, inspector Md Faruk, in-charge of the DMCH police outpost, said that the body was kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
