Different political parties and student organisations on Saturday continued holding rallies in Dhaka protesting against Israeli attacks on Palestine, especially on Gaza.

The Gonoforum held a rally in front of the National Press Club.


Subrata Chowdhury, the presidium member of the Gonoforum presided over the rally.

Subrata Chowdhury said that the Israeli army was killing innocent Palestinian people in Gaza, including children and women, violating ceasefire recently.

He called on the world community to be vocal against the barbaric killings and condemned the role of imperialist American government for patronising the Israeli government.

He also demanded formation of separate state for Palestinian people.

Another presidium member Jaglul Haider Afrik central leaders Suraiya Khatun, Rafiqul Islam Pathik, Latiful Bari Hamim, Mohammad Ullah Madhu and others spoke at the rally.

The rally was followed by a protest procession that paraded different city roads.

Leaders of Bangladesh Jasod at a separate rally in front of the National Press Club also demanded immediate stopping of killings of Palestinian people in Gaza.

General secretary Nazmul Haque Prodhan   called on all the democratic political parties of Bangladesh to be vocal in protesting at the killings.

Central leaders of the party Abdul Kader Hawlader, Mustuq Hussain, Karim Sikder, Rokanuzzaman Rokan and others spoke at the rally.

Aam Janata Dal also held a rally at the same venue where leaders also demanded stopping barbaric killings in Gaza.

Member secretary of the party Mohammad Tarek Rahman, academics Mahboob Hossain, Abdur Rob Linkon and others spoke at the rally.

The rally was followed by a protest procession that paraded different city roads.

Leaders of the Socialist Student Front also condemned killings by the Israeli army in Gaza at a rally held in front of the National Press Club.

They demanded immediate stopping of killings.

President of the organisation Mukta Barai, central leaders Susmita Morium, Anik Kumar Das and others spoke at the rally.

The rally was followed by a protest procession.
