The Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology signed a memorandum of understanding with Local Government Engineering Department at a programme held at CUET academic council room on Thursday.
CUET registrar, additional charge, Professor Sheikh Muhammad Humayun Kabir signed the MoU titled 鈥楯oint venture research programme, student mentoring and knowledge sharing鈥� on behalf of the university, said a press release.
CUET vice-chancellor Professor Mohammad Rafiqul Alam was present as chief guest at the programme. He said that students would be able to gain practical knowledge under the agreement with the LGED.
The LGED chief engineer Ali Akhtar, CUET pro-vice-chancellor Professor Jamal Uddin Ahmed, civil and environmental engineering faculty dean Professor Sudip Kumar Pal, architecture and planning faculty dean Professor Muhammad Rashidul Hasan and CUET registrar, additional charge, Professor Sheikh Muhammad Humayun Kabir were present as special guests at the programme, which was anchored by water resources engineering department head Professor Sadiqul Islam.
Besides, civil engineering department head Professor Aysha Akter, disaster engineering and management department head Professor Maruful Hasan Mazumder and architecture department assistant professor Sajal Chowdhury were present at the programme.
