The University of Asia Pacific held its 11th convocation ceremony on Saturday.

The graduating students from different faculties received their degrees in the ceremony held at Senapragan in Dhaka Cantonment, said a press release issued by Berlo Communications Ltd.


While presiding over the ceremony, the interim government’s adviser for the primary and mass education ministry professor Bidhan Ranjan Roy Podder urged the graduates to contribute to the national development.

Mahbuba Haque, chairperson of the UAP Board of Trustees, encouraged graduates to pursue their dreams with courage.

UAP vice-chancellor professor Qumrul Ahsan emphasized the importance of industry-academia collaboration, highlighting UAP’s partnerships with institutions both in Bangladesh and abroad.

Former Malaysian prime minister Mahathir Mohamad addressed the graduates in a video message.

The convocation address was delivered by ULKASEMI Pvt Limited chief executive officer Mohammed Enayetur Rahman.

The ceremony was attended, among others, by the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh chairman professor SMA Faiz.

The convocation featured the awarding of certificates and gold medals for outstanding academic performance, along with speeches by the guests and students’ reflections on their journeys.
