Vice-chancellor of Pirojpur Science and Technology University Professor Md Shahidul Islam said that an art and culture-loving mother could gift them a better society.
He made the comment while inaugurating as the chief guest the two-day annual literary and cultural competition-2025 at Pirojpur Government Women鈥檚 College on Tuesday, said a press release.
Professor Shahidul Islam said that literature and culture were an integral part of Bengali nationality.
鈥楢rt, literature and culture expand our thinking, enrich our minds and awaken human values. Art, literature and culture are especially necessary for women as an art and culture-loving mother can give a better society,鈥� he added.
The event was presided over by Sheikh Rafiqul Islam, Pirojpur Government Women鈥檚 College principal while Panna Lal Roy, Government Suhrawardy College 鈥� Pirojpur principal and Md Muniruzzaman Nasim Ali, Pirojpur bureau chief of daily Ittefaq, were present as special guests.
