
BRAC Bank has partnered with Pragati Insurance Limited to bring its entire agent banking network under insurance coverage.
All BRAC Bank agent banking outlets will now be secured through ‘Cash-in-Safe’ and ‘Cash-in-Transit’ insurance.
With this initiative, BRAC Bank becomes the first bank in Bangladesh to implement such comprehensive protection, in line with the directive of the Bangladesh Bank, said a press release.
BRAC Bank managing director and chief executive officer Tareq Refat Ullah Khan and Pragati Insurance chief executive officer Syed Sehab Ullah Al-Manjur signed the agreement at BRAC Bank’s head office in the capital recently.

BRAC Bank was represented by deputy managing director and alternate banking channels head Nazmur Rahim, agent banking head Md Nazmul Hasan and account services head Md Abu Taher Mridha.
Pragati Insurance was represented by AMD and chief financial officer Amar Krishna Shil and deputy managing director Sharif Mustaba.
The comprehensive insurance coverage further strengthens financial security, instils greater trust and confidence among customers, and reaffirms BRAC Bank’s commitment to safe and inclusive banking for communities across the country.
