
India on Friday said that the interim government of Bangladesh was unable to maintain law and order situation in the country.
Responding to a question during the regular media briefing spokesperson at the ministry of external affairs Randhir Jaiswal said that Bangladesh should seriously investigate into the actions of extremist groups indulging in violence against minorities in Chattogram Hill Tracts.
He said that the [interim] government had the habit of trying to shifting the blame elsewhere.
The spokesperson said that they categorically rejected the false and baseless allegations against India.
Home affairs adviser Lieutenant General (retired) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury on Monday alleged that the unrest in Khagrachhari was being instigated by India or fascist elements.
‘All necessary measures have been taken to ensure the peaceful celebration of Durga Puja, but a vested quarter is trying to disrupt the festival,’ he said.
