
At least 10 people were injured after a fire broke out at the celebration event of the first anniversary of the July uprising at Manik Mia Avenue on Tuesday.
The fire originated at about 2:45pm from a gas balloon blast, said an officer of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
The injured were sent immediately to the Sheikh Hasina Burn Unit by an ambulance, he said.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Tejgaon Division deputy commissioner Md Ibne Mizan told ¶¶Òõ¾«Æ· that all the injured received primary treatment for minor injuries.
National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery resident surgeon Shawon Bin Rahman said that 10 people with minor burns received treatment at the institute.
‘No one was admitted to the institute. They were discharged after primary treatment,’ he added.
