
The family members of Bangladesh’s first prime minister and one of the leading Liberation War organisers, Tajuddin Ahmad, on Thursday met chief adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus and invited him to attend the events marking Tajuddin’s birth centenary.
Tajuddin’s daughter Sharmin Ahmad and son Tanjim Ahmad Sohel Taj, who is a former state minister for home affairs, met the chief adviser at the state guest house Jamuna and handed over the invitation.
The chief adviser’s press wing confirmed the meeting and the invitation.
During the visit, Sharmin Ahmad also presented Professor Yunus with a copy of her book titled ‘Tajuddin Ahmad: Neta o Pita.’
Tajuddin was born on July 23, 1925. He was assassinated on November 3, 1975, along with three national leaders, while in prison.
