Pubali Bank PLC has gifted two buses to make the transportation system of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology students easier and more comfortable.
Pubali Bank managing director and chief executive officer Mohammad Ali handed over the symbolic key to BUET vice-chancellor Professor Abu Borhan Mohammad Badruzzaman at a programme at the BUET on Saturday, said a press release.
The program was moderated by DAERS director Professor Arif Hasan Mamun.
BUET VC said, ‘I express my gratitude to all the officials of Pubali Bank, who have given two buses as a gift, considering the transportation problem of our students seriously.’
Mentioning that this gift is not just a vehicle, it is a huge help in the safe transportation of the students and a sign of a sincere bond, he added, ‘I hope that Pubali Bank PLC will continue to support the transportation and development activities of this university from their CSR fund every year in the future.’
Mohammad Ali said, ‘I am very happy and proud on this special day because I am standing here today not only as a bank official, but also as an ex-student of this glorious educational institution.’
‘The two buses that I was able to hand over to BUET today are not just a formal act for me—it is an expression of my love, respect and gratitude,’ He added, mentioning, ‘As an alumnus of this glorious educational institution, I hope that the talented students of BUET will benefit from this facility and will take a step forward in serving the country in the future.’
