Bangladesh-born English painter-sculptor Abu Jafar portrayed his journey experience in his solo exhibition which ended on Tuesday at Gallery Chitrak in Dhaka.
The 27th solo art exhibition titled Somoy comprised two series titled ‘Somoy’ and ‘Somoy Rekha’.
The series titled ‘Somoy’ featured 32 acrylic paintings depicting the artist’s memories. The paintings comprise free-flow lines mostly blue, green and pink.
Another series titled ‘Somoy Rekha’ contained acrylic on paper and glass artworks created with diverse lines and textures containing drops of colour depicting his journey and view from the sky.
‘I gather elements through my emotional experiences. Then transform them into art forms that incorporate anything and everything around me,’ said artist Abu Jafar.
The 12-day exhibition was inaugurated on May 9. Â
